ACCOMODATIONS
Rooms, suites, and cottages at the Featherbed Inn are large and comfortable, and your stay here includes a gourmet 3-course farm-to-table breakfast and complementary use of our Nordic Spa. As our name suggests, every bed has a featherbed, which is a down mattress topper that, according to more than a few of our guests, make for the best night's sleep. Down-alternative toppers, duvets, and pillows are available on request. Luxury linens, towels, and bathrobes finish off your experience.
The Inn is tastefully decorated and designed with a combination of traditional and contemporary furnishings and art. All of our rooms have cozy sitting areas and ensuite bathrooms (aside from one room, Heather, which has a private bathroom across the hall). We have business-class WiFi throughout the property.

We welcome dogs in our cottage rooms. These are the Shelley Room, the Phillipa Room, and the Ellen Room, as well as the one-bedroom Brittany Cottage. Dogs are not permitted in the main house (where our cat, Luna, makes the rules). We do charge an additional cleaning fee for dogs. Please call if you wish to bring your dog.
Please note: We do have a cat. Luna is a sweet little Russian Blue, and her breed is known to be hypoallergenic. Nearly all of our guests who are allergic to cats tell us that they feel fine while they are here, but there could be exceptions. Luna is not allowed in the guest rooms or the cottages and spends much of her time outside.
If you cannot find availability for your room(s) of choice, please give us a call on 802-496-7151 and we might be able to move things around to accommodate your needs.

A private one-bedroom cottage with high beamed ceilings over the bedroom and living room. The bedroom has a queen bed with featherbed, and the living room has a new very comfortable queen sofa bed. A small well appointed kitchen abuts the living area.
You can have all the privacy and utility of a stand-alone cottage with a private deck, with all the perks and enjoyment of a bed & breakfast.

Our largest suite is on the second floor of the main building, with two bedrooms and lovely sitting area.
Beatrice's main room welcomes you with a pencil post canopy queen bed.There is a large sitting area with a chaise longue, a couple of chairs, and coffee table. The second bedroom off of the main room has two twin beds.
The suite is comfortable for a family or two couples.

A lovely two-bedroom suite, conveniently situated on the first floor of the main building.
One colonial blue-trimmed room features a queen-sized white cast iron bed and a cozy sitting area. Susan's second room is sun-filled, with twin antique beds and a pleasant sitting area. The suite is great for families or two couples.

Shelley is the largest room in the Jenny cottage, a few steps from the main building. The room is on the second floor of the cottage with its own additional private entrance, and shares an eat-in kitchen with Phillipa and Ellen, the other Jenny cottage rooms.
This sunny south-facing room sleeps three comfortably, with a queen-sized cannonball bed as well as a twin bed in a private alcove. The Shelley room has a spacious sitting area with wing back chairs, adorned by works from local artists.

A large, sunny, first-floor room in the Jenny cottage, a few steps from the main building. Phillipa shares an eat-in kitchen with Shelley and Ellen, the other Jenny cottage rooms.
The room has a large picture window overlooking the back gardens, a large and comfortable sitting area, a gorgeous pencil post canopy queen bed, and an electric fireplace. The Phillipa room is adorned by works by several local artists.

A few steps from the main inn is the Jenny cottage, with three spacious bedrooms. The three rooms are generally rented as individual guest rooms, but you are welcome to reserve the entire cottage if available. The cottage has a well-appointed kitchen, onsite laundry, and workstations with high-speed WiFi. Breakfast is included. Call to learn about weekly and monthly discounts. We welcome dogs in the Jenny Cottage, for an additional fee. Please let us know if you plan to bring your dog.
