At the Featherbed Inn & Nordic Spa, we know that a Vermont getaway isn’t complete unless every member of the family can take part — including your dog. That’s why the rooms in our cottages (the Shelley Room, the Phillipa Room, the Ellen Room and the Brittany Cottage) are designed with comfort in mind for both you and your four-legged companions. (Please note that dogs are not allowed in the main house, where our hypoallergenic cat Luna makes all the rules.) Dogs are greeted with the same warmth as their humans, and we make it easy to enjoy your stay together.

Whether it’s a morning stroll through our meadows, a romp by the pond, a dog-paddle in the Mad River, or an invigorating trek up a mountain trail, your pup will love exploring Vermont’s natural beauty alongside you.

While your dog enjoys fresh Vermont air and plenty of outdoor playtime, you can indulge in the inn’s signature comforts: hearty farm-to-table breakfasts, our authentic Nordic spa (with sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge), and serene mountain views. It’s a Vermont pet-friendly getaway that offers the best of both worlds — adventure and relaxation for both you and your dog.

Please note that we add a cleaning fee to cover the extra time our housekeeper needs to spend in order to ensure our rooms are spotlessly clean after a dog has been our guest. We charge a $60 flat fee per dog, plus $10 per day per dog.
