At the Featherbed Inn, families are not only welcome, they’re celebrated. With acres of fields and woodlands to explore, a swimming pond for summer fun, and trails right from our doorstep, kids have the space and freedom to discover Vermont’s natural beauty. Parents can relax knowing their little ones are safe, happy, and engaged.

Our spacious rooms and family suites make it easy for families to spread out, and hearty farm-to-table breakfasts fuel adventures big and small. After a day of skiing, hiking, or exploring the Mad River Valley, families can unwind together by the fire enjoying our large collection of toys and children’s books. If Karen or Mick or another responsible adult is available to build a block tower or Brio train track, parents might be able to sneak away to our Nordic spa — complete with sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge.

We’ve got a couple of booster seats, a Pack ‘n Play crib, and loads of activities for your kids. If your child isn’t impressed by our gourmet breakfasts, we’re happy to scramble an egg or offer a bowl of cereal. All we ask is that parents respect our other guests and take fidgety children away from common areas when they need to settle down.
