Hello friends,
There is never a shortage of fabulous things to experience when you visit the Mad River Valley (especially when the forecast shows sunny skies and summery temps). Swimming holes in the Mad River beckon (including the Lareau swimming hole a few minutes' walk from the Featherbed), mountain bike trails (which double as hiking trails) call to you right from our grounds, our little pond is just waiting for you to jump in, and dozens of hikes and walks and wanders await your footsteps. You can float or paddle down the river or across Blueberry Lake (umiak.com and clearwatersports.com offer tours and rentals), or ride an Icelandic horse on a guided trail ride icelandichorses.com, or soar in a glider high over the valley sugarbushsoaring.com. Or sit in the gazebo with a book or a glass of wine, or nap in the hammock, or soak in the hot tub, or do absolutely nothing.
There are a few special events taking place this weekend that we want to be sure you know about.
