Hello again,
Great news! Yoga is returning to the Featherbed meadow, every Saturday at 11am beginning next weekend, June 18. We still have a few rooms available that weekend, so give us a call if you'd like to plan a visit. Whether you've never been on a yoga mat or you are a seasoned yogi, we have no doubt that taking your yoga practice outdoors in beautiful surroundings will do wondrous things for your body and soul. Our dear friend and favorite local yoga instructor Karen McPhillips will guide you through a gentle and joyful practice, and we'll offer scones and tea after class (and will encourage you to jump in the pond). Here's the link for more information and to register for Stretch & Sip yoga.
While we're on the subject of being outdoors, we want to tell you about some fabulous outdoor musical events. On Tuesday July 12, you can attend a world-class performance by some of the biggest stars of Broadway, on the meadow at Moose Meadow Lodge. We went last year and were blown away, and we're going again for an encore performance. Join us for a picnic and a stunning show!
Our neighbors at Knoll Farm are presenting a wonderful series of concerts on their gorgeous grounds. All summer long, nearby Camp Meade is hosting concerts and zumba classes. Great food and great vibes. On Tuesdays at Lawson's Finest Liquids, you can sip the finest of Vermont craft beer while listening to music in the beer garden. There are musical events of all sorts, from classical to Lyle Lovett (!!!) throughout the summer at the Shelburne Museum.
Perhaps our favorite reason to visit the Mad River Valley midweek is the Wednesday night Roundup by the covered bridge. Each week you can join us for the party, with live music, food trucks, and a lively gathering celebrating summer. This is the MRV at its best.
See you soon -
Karen and Mick
PS: We're thinking about hosting occasional barbecues for our guests. Please let us know if this is something you'd be interested in.
